SubFlow - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

SubFlow is a Chrome extension developed by Dezzaa (dezzaa.com) that translates video subtitles in real-time. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data SubFlow accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

2. Data We Access

SubFlow accesses the following data strictly to provide subtitle translation:

• Website ContentSubFlow reads on-screen subtitle text from video players using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to detect and translate subtitles.
• Tab AudioWhen the audio streaming feature is enabled by the user, SubFlow captures audio from the active tab to transcribe speech for translation.
• User PreferencesLanguage settings, font size, subtitle opacity, and color preferences are stored locally on your device.
• License KeyIf you activate a PRO license, the license key is stored locally to validate your subscription status.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data accessed by SubFlow is used exclusively to provide the subtitle translation service:

• Subtitle text is sent to third-party translation APIs (Google Translate, MyMemory, Lingva) to obtain translations. No personal data is included in these requests.
• Captured audio is processed locally or sent to a local transcription server configured by the user. Audio is never stored or sent to external servers by SubFlow.
• User preferences are stored locally using Chrome's storage API and never leave your device.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

SubFlow does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or web activity
• Financial or payment information
• Authentication credentials or passwords
• Location data or IP addresses
• Keystrokes, mouse movements, or user activity tracking

5. Third-Party Services

SubFlow sends subtitle text to the following translation APIs to provide translations. Only the text to be translated and the target language are sent. No personal or identifying data is included:

• Google Translate (via public API)
• MyMemory Translation API
• Lingva Translate (open-source)
• DeepL API (if user provides their own API key)

6. Data Storage

All user preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. No data is sent to or stored on external servers owned by Dezzaa. SubFlow does not have any backend server or database.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties for any purpose other than providing the core subtitle translation functionality described above. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any commercial purpose beyond the extension's stated functionality.

8. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can clear all locally stored preferences at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. Since SubFlow does not store any data on external servers, uninstalling the extension completely removes all associated data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
